Get To Know Us
We’re the Malishev family – Adi, Sergey, Gal, Bar, and Or.

In 2022, we bought a 40-foot Lagoon 400 catamaran called Grand Cru. By July, we set sail from the Mediterranean with nothing but a dream, three backpacks, and three young boys aged 3.5, 6, and 7.5.

We were new to sailing, unsure how it would go, but certain we didn’t want to wait for “someday.”

Over the next three years, we sailed more than 13,500 miles, crossed the Atlantic Ocean, and explored 24 countries. We spent two unforgettable seasons in the Caribbean, visiting places like Martinique, Dominica, Antigua, The Grenadines, and Grenada, and made our way through the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and up the East Coast of the US to Maine and back.

We homeschooled our boys under coconut trees and in quiet anchorages. We worked remotely from the boat thanks to Starlink internet. We learned to live simply, off-grid and off-script. We fixed what broke, trusted each other more deeply, and discovered what really matters to us.
Some days were picture-perfect. Others were pure chaos. But every day was ours.

We chased sunsets and sandbars, got soaked in squalls, and found magic in the everyday. This wasn’t a vacation. It was a lifestyle shaped by intention, flexibility, and the courage to choose differently.

Now we’ve returned to land and settled in a small village on the coast of southern Spain. The boys go to a local school, we’ve made new friends, and we’re embracing a new chapter with a little more routine – but the same mindset.

Our dream keeps evolving.
Our values haven’t changed.
And our journey isn’t over. It just looks a little different now.

Once you’ve crossed the line of fear, nothing feels out of reach and the world becomes your playground.
